Frank Larry Hanks was born in Huntington Park, CA, January 13, 1959, to Joseph Trinidad Hanks and Donna Sue West. He died in Innisfail, Alberta, Canada, August 23, 2023, with his daughter, Rachel, by his side. Frank was a beloved missionary and teacher who promoted the healing power of the Holy Spirit on three continents. He led mission meetings and training seminars both in person and online. He was never shy about being a witness to the power of the Holy Spirit in his life. Always trying to help people, he served God in the United States, Canada, Nigeria, Malaysia, Cambodia, Viet Nam, India, and Indonesia. A graduate of Cherokee High School, in Cherokee, NC, Frank enjoyed playing sports. Frank was an alumnus of New Life Bible College in Cleveland, TN, where he excelled in scripture memorization and interpersonal witness. He was a veteran of the US Army. His parents, Joseph Trinidad Hanks and Donna Sue West, his stepfather, John Ray West I, and his sister, Annie Hanks Bekstrom, preceded him in death. His three adult children, Tina Coleman of Bowling Green, KY; Rachel Hanks of Red Deer, Alberta; and Justus Hanks of Red Deer, Alberta, and his special friend, Ivy Soo of Malaysia survive him. Also surviving are his siblings: Thomas Patrick-Joseph Hanks and his wife, Adele of Wake Forest, NC; Lori Jo Hanks Hugelmaier and her husband, Dale, of Wake Forest, NC; Catherine Lorraine Hanks of Sylva, NC; James Robert West II; John Ray West II and his wife, Barbara, of Cherokee, NC; Susana Hanks of Downey, CA; his grandson Gavin Coleman of Bowling Green, KY, and many nephews, nieces, and great-nephews and great-nieces. A memorial service will be held at the Long House Funeral Home, Cherokee, NC, on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. The service will be officiated by his colleagues in ministry from Africa, Bishop Jasper MacPhillips, Bishop Gabriel Ali Igomu, and Rev.
