Obituary of Peggy Lee Teesateskie

Peggy Lee Teesateskie, age 72, of Robbinsville, passed away unexpectedly on June 10, 2021 at Mission Hospital after an extended illness. She is the daughter of the late Lee Teesateskie and Caroline Wachacha Teesateskie. Peggy retired from Cherokee Indian Hospital where she worked as a dental assistant and she is a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Peggy leaves behind Children, Victoria W. Sluder (Albert), Alfred Welch Jr. and Dinah W. Nunez (Jose); Grandchildren, Caroline Vasques (Michael), Connor Welch, Jose Nunez Jr. (Tonya), Kaleisha Knighton (Jasper) and Corbin Nunez. Great-Grandchildren, Greyson and Elijah Vasques, Jayden, Ethan and Ty Chekelelee, Dray Panther, Kyler and Wilson Nunez, Westin Knighton and Lively Crue Colindres Nunez; Brothers, Gary Lee Teesateskie and Frances Smoker; one sister, Martha Ledford. A visitation will be held on June 14, 2021 at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Robbinsville beginning at 11:00am. A formal funeral service will begin at 1:00pm with Pastors Ernie Stiles, Greg Morgan and Noah Crowe officiating. Burial will be in the Teesateskie Cemetery. Pall Bearers will be Shane Welch, Jason Rivera, Tate Thomason, Carlos Esquivel, Israel Weeks and Paden Welch. The family and Church request that in following safe protocols that masks wearing and social distancing be practiced in the closed areas. Long House Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements.
