Obituary of James Harvey Smtih

Obituary James Harvey Smith, Jr., 48, of Cherokee, NC passed away unexpectedly on June, 03, 2020. He was the son of the late James Harvey Smith, SR. and Mary Lou (Ledford) Smith. Harvey had made his way in the past as a Environmental Safety Specialist at the local Harrah's Casino and was known for his crazy sense of humor. He was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed dearly. Harvey is survived by his children, James Harvey Smith, III and Adam Smith both of Cherokee, NC; one brother, Timothy Ray Smith of Cherokee and one grandchild; sisters, Clara Calhoun (Morgan), Shirley Swayney, Elain Armachain, Jessie Lopez (Salvador) and Tiney Reagan (Harold); aunt Dorothy Ledford and several Nieces and Nephews. Harvey will have a private graveside service on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at 2PM in the Birdtown Cemetery in the Cherokee Community with the Rev. Tim James of Sequoyah Baptist officiating. The Pall Bearers will be among the family and friends in attendance. Long House Funeral Home assisted in the final arrangements.
